We are pleased to make a limited offering of our fresh Windswept Farm, Red Ranger chicken, available for purchase, the day after the processing. Red Ranger chickens are very energetic, are well known for their excellent foraging skills, and are well suited to pasture and free-range environments. They are similar in appearance to the Rhode Island red chicken, their egg-laying counterpart, with reddish brown and black highlights.
Pre-order today to reserve your fresh chicken, available for pickup Wednesday November 16 from 4:00-6:00pm. The birds will be freshly butchered, cleaned, and bagged, ready to go into your oven, fridge or freezer.
The cost will be $5/lb, and with a $10 deposit, we will reserve your bird(s), with the remainder due at the time of pickup by cash, check, or credit card.
We are anticipating, but cannot guarantee the average weight per bird to be around 4# average.
