Introduction to World of Wine

This four-session series is tailored for wine enthusiasts who may already grasp the basics of wine but wish to better understand its principles to build a stronger foundation for enjoyment, appreciation, and optimizing the overall wine experience. Jessi Blanarik, certified sommelier and columnist for Centre County Gazette’s “Sip with a Sommelier”, along with Chef Duke Gastiger, co-owner of RE Farm Café, will lead our journey in an accessible and engaging way, exploring the culture, history, viticulture, and winemaking methods behind the best and most influential wine regions in the world.  Over the 90-minute sessions (four consecutive Saturdays beginning January 25th at 1p.) wine enthusiasts will be introduced to and taste more than 2 dozen fabulous red, white, dessert, and sparkling wines.   Class size is limited, $300 per person for the series.  Notice of individual session availability will be advertised 5 days prior ($80-$90 per person).  All participants must be 21 or older, with age verification.
